I'm re-installing 10.2, and would like to strip avoid installing the firmwares for macs other than my imac. Does the software auto detect that its an imac and not install the others, or can I remove them myself prior to install. Maybe make a disc without them. This also goes for all the foreign language supports.

Thanks

When you are installing 10.2 there is a button to customize what you want to install or not, and languages is one of the options listed.

I've never heard of anyone removing machine specific code, and I really don't think it's worth your while to try. Just don't install anything you don't need like languages/fonts/printer drivers etc.
