it looks like my iomega predator has become a paperweight. Any recommendatins for a good combo drive. I mostly use it to burn cd's and backup digital photos. It appears the burn times are much slower on the combos. Am i better off getting a cd burner for under $100. and waiting for the dvd burners to drop in price. any preferences onon a good cd burner.... mac mall has a sale on a lacie 52x firewire for 99 and an iomega usb for 89. any one like the iomega cdrw+7 card reader for flash cards.

DVD Burner prices are not bad. I just picked up a LaCie 8x DVD Burner at the apple store for $250.

If you look online at one of the deal sites, (ie. dealnews.com, pricewatch.com, etc) you should be able to get an internal DVD Burner for less than $100 and an external for less than $175. The Pioneer 107 is definitely a good deal... and fully supported in 10.3.3!
