1. open a folder full of pictures in column view
2. click on any one of them (preview can be enabled or disabled)
3. press the down arrow key on the keyboard
4. hold shift and click another picture
EXPECT: select group of pictures
OCURRS: selects single picture (the clicked file)
If you meant to HOLD the arrow key, then press shift, then it just stops on whatever file was selected, which is what I'd expect. It happens if I press any key while holding down the arrow - the scrolling is interrupted.

I was able to reproduce this. He means. Press and release the down arrow. Then hold shift and click on any other file. It seems like a bug to me.
