Is there anyone else besides me that are having loss of connection, browsing problems like huge lag times when connecting to any website after the 10.3.3 update?
After the update, I started to experience problems when accessing anything through any browser, may it be out to the internet or locally. It seems like the Internet connection drops and I can't access out, but a few minutes later it is back up again. Even when browsing locally it also happens since I run a web server. I never had any issues like this prior to this dreaded update.
To make matters more complicated, I even experience huge amounts of lag times when connecting using localhost on the actual webserver! Somtimes minutes just to connect to its own webserver.
Sadly, I even have a much better browsing experience when accessing my webserver or any other website on a Windoze platform at work. It is actually a whole lot faster. I have only been using Apple products for just over a year now and I had a great experience. I do hope it stays that way.
From the looks of the forums, I know people have experienced other problems related to the recent update.
Rebooting did not fix it, I was just wondering if anyone in the same predicament have any solutions or fixes to this. Anything helps. Thank you!

Does the same thing occur when using another account on the same Mac? Have you tried pinging the server to ensure you have actually lost connectivity? Maybe it is another issue, such as DNS resolution which is causing the lag. Try typing the IP address in and see if it is faster.

yes I have tried all of that. No other account is using it. Cannot ping as well. This happens intermittently. I never had the problem prior to the update so i think DNS resolution is not the problem, you are right tho, it is the first place to check.

I have no clue about the technology involved but I have noticed definate lag times since updating to 10.3.3 Both at home on a dsl and at work/school through their network when accessing web sites. I am interested in finding out any thing more about this.

Well, I'm still on 10.3.2 and the last couple weeks have some slow downs for some big web sites periodically. (even, like Amazon) Almost seems like sections of the web maybe are hurting (I'm just on a cable modem not a T1 line or anything).
I'm not clear about your experience - almost sounds like browsing across LAN or from files on your own machine are problematic?
For everyone's info - on what DATE did you upgrade to 10.3.3 ?

The fact that you cannot even do a ping would indicate a hardware problem. Check and/or replace your ethernet cable. If you have a cable or dsl modem, unplug the power to it and any connected router/switch. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes and then restart the modem and then router. Then restart your Mac.
I meant try another user account or create one for tesing purposes on the same Mac having the problem. See if the problems persist with it.

Thanks for the tips and yes I have tried all of those. Isn't it odd that this only started happening after the update? I don't believe that my hardware coincidentally fails right after the update. I still think that the 10.3.3 update may have done something my Airport connectivity. Oh by the way I haven't tried plugging in directly with ethernet yet. I will try that.

I had the same issues, and worse. Take a couple of hours and do an archive and install of Panther (retaining Users and Network Preferences), then apply the combo update.
Also important: do not install the AirPort 3.3 or 3.3.1 update. Stick with 3.2.
That cleared everything up for me.
