I know of at least myself and a friend on a new G5 that gets the same message when repairing permissions.

Repairing permissions for “OSX”
Determining correct file permissions.
We are using special permissions for the file or directory ./System/Library/Filesystems/cd9660.fs/cd9660.util. New permissions are 33261
The privileges have been verified or repaired on the selected volume

Permissions repair complete

The problem is that it never seems to get repaired. Everytime I repair I get the same message. This appeared first with the latest 10.3.3 update.

Anyone else getting this?

Thanks.

Note that the "special permissions" message does not say it is repairing the permissions setting, only that a "special" setting must be used for that file or directory.

That is true. Do you have any idea what this is for? Is it disk burning? I see 9660...

Sounds like it's for disk burning. ISO 9660 is the format for cross-platform CDs that can be read by both Mac and Windoze machines.
