Hello, I am running 10.1.5 on my G3. I have been running this for a long time and it has worked perfect. Recently, it has been failing. It seems almost every apple-based application is hanging (appleworks, utilities, text-edit, even calculator) when opening or working in the application. It seems that my 3rd party software is working fine but it will hang when I select print. For example, in appleworks, the application will open, I select "word processor" and it hangs for about 5 min and then opens. It is not only appleworks. A friend suggested I try repair privleges but that didnt help. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix the issue? I still have OS 9 on my other drive so atleast I have that for backup and heck, the internet still works great. But this is a problem and it needs to be addressed, I just dont know how to approach it. It is looking like I will have to do a clean install of OS X but I'd like some of your opinions before I do this. Thanks, Gary
