Hi there, I just bought my mom an iBook and set it up with accounts for her, my dad and sister. I wanted to set them up to share certain resources, like Address Book contacts and iPhoto libraries mainly.

First, is it just a matter of dropping these folders into the Shared folder for all users?

Second, will this wreak havoc with permissions as people make separate updates?

Thanks. Even though my mom's never really used a computer before, she's got Panther before me. I'm not as familiar with it's workings as I'd like to be.

Not sure on this, but you might want to more up the Address book up to levels so it's right off the hd.
