Is there any way to remove it if I don't have a bluetooth adapter anymore?

Press command and drag it off the menu bar and release...POOF...

Might as well add that you can command-drag them to rearrange them in the menu bar. And if you remove one that you want to get back, they all have preferences in their respecting preference panes (i.e. battery status in Energy Saver).
