All right this is just plain weird, but the Panther interface appears to have shifted colors on me. It was normal last night, I installed the latest security update, and now I have this ick all over my desktop. I know its not my monitor because I can tell only portions of the screen have this weird brownish kind of a cast to them. Input windows like this one look normally white. In fact, they do stand out better but there is this obviously not white anymore frame around most of them. This off white-weird-cream-color in the title bars and application non-input portions of the window is kinda gross. Has anyone else noticed this? How can I turn this off or pick another off-white color? Eggshell sucks. I painted over it in my living room for a reason...

I had something similar happen when I was playing with a new monitor at work. Try changing your colorsync profile to a generic one (in the Display Preferences) and restart. After I restarted it was back to normal and I could reset my profile.

hope this solves your problem.

Perhaps a different ColorSync display profile was set.

All good suggestions, however, none of them worked. Its not a profile issue. The the interface colors have actually changed...

Are you using shapeshifter. I believe there was a similar discussion over at GUI Customization: http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=207262
