At the moment I can't quite figure out what's going on here, whether it's a problem with the OS or the applicaiton or fonts...

All I know is I'm getting odd results with Fireworks 2004's and ImageReady's text anti-alias modes - some very jagged edges which look awful on my 10.3 Macs at home, yet come up fine on my Jaguar Mac at work.

I haven't had time to catalogue all the variations - but in particular, the "no anti-alias" mode, and FW's "system" anti-alias look dreadful. Others (such as "crisp" or "smooth") are fine.

So initially, this is just a request for some users out there to have a play and see if you can find anything fishy...

Just to try and show what I mean, here's a brief example from FW MX 2004. You can see how messed up the "system" anti-alias is, and the "no anti-alias" is iffy too...

This is happening on 2 machines of mine - can anyone else replicate it?

*bump* is anyone even able to tell me that it's fine on their system, and it's a problem at my end? Running out of ideas here...
