Dashboards
Dashboards are adapting, semi-transparent palettes that provide the most common tools associated with any selected object. Your line of sight remains clear and your workspace stays neat and organized, but the tools you need are always at your fingertips. Dashboards are truly indispensable when you want to alter behavior animation parameters, because you can change settings and adjust sliders for instant feedback. Here are a few examples:

Spend less time switching to the Finder for organizing your assets. Using Motion’s File Browser, you have complete access to media, effects and behavior settings. You can even create aliases, folders and mount servers without leaving Motion. When you locate media, simply drag and drop the items to the Canvas to add them to your current project.
Library
The Library lets you save and reuse any object in any project. Drag and drop objects from the Library to the Canvas to add them to you current project. You can instantly reuse customized behaviors, filters, shapes, particles and text with just a few clicks.
Inspector
Dashboards provide the most commonly-used tools, but when you need to fine-tune an object’s parameters and settings, use the Inspector tab, which provides convenient access to all controls associated with the selected object. Specific controls vary depending on the object. The Inspector tab lets you work with type, shapes, movies, audio or any media type.
