This used to not happen, but now whenever I launch an application for the first time and I try to type something, the first key presses don't appear on the screen for about 2-5 seconds. After the pause, all is well and stays well until I quit the app and re-launch. This happens with every application (Finder, Safari, Mail, GoLive, etc.). I have a dual G5 so it shouldn't be the computer. I have tried fixing permissions and restarting with no luck. I am running 10.3.3.
I am not sure what caused it to happen, it doesn't seem like it was anything I did in particular, I just noticed things seemed slow and then I started investigating when it was exactly happening.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
