Yes for nostalgic reasons I would like to fire up my copy of simcity classic. I currently have a working installation of mac os 7.5.3 running with either the os x native port or the fink installation of basiliskII w/x11. when I launch simcity classic it says that I must reset my monitor to 16 colors. well after a little bit of research I found that the os x native port of B2 uses whatever your system settings are (i.e. millions of colors). So i decided to ditch the os x port and try the x11 one. My question is: is there any way for me to set x11 settings to a 4-bit color depth so any x11 windows will run in 16 colors?

I found a few pages discussing x11 color depth on linux sites but could not find the described files on my box.

I am running 10.3.3 and Apple's X11.

I know this is a stupid one, but what else am I going to do!

thanks
