How come my blank CDs only read as 660MB of available space?

I am having trouble burning files to CD because my 700MB disks only read as having 660MB of space available. This only seems to be a problem on my ibook. Any suggestions?

sorry. as you can see I'm new to this. I was actually given the suggestion to check out this forum instead. Didn't realize it was "frowned upon." Try giving the new people a break.

Use an app like Toast instead of the Finder/iTunes.
