I can't seem to empty my trash completely. I had this redundant folder that was like a copy of the entire harddrive that I don't know how it got there (it's my dad's computer and I don't know what he does).

I tried to delete it, but it wouldn't do it. So I went to version tracker and download Trash It and that seemed to do the trick. But as soon as I logged out or restarted my computer, all the contents that I delted from the trash are back.

Any suggestions?

I would run Disk Warrior or Norton, but I didn't bring my copy with me.

I fix disk permissions after deleting files, and it still happens. I tried deleting preferences too.

Any tips/solutions?
