New iTunes Music Store behavior?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it lets you redownload songs that you lost now! What I did:

Went to buy a song (checked that it wasn't in my library first)
Was prompted that I had already bought the song and was given the choice of buying it or not - I hit cancel.
The song downloaded!

Anyone else see the same thing? Or am in for a timeline?
