Saturday morning I go for my Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist exam (on my way to the ACDT if I can manage to pass this).
Does anybody that's taken the test since April 1, 2004 have any advice for me? I'm nervous as all hell and not feeling very positive about it...
Thanks

You'll be fine...I remember reading how you have prepared for this and that's what you needed...
GOOD LUCK!

Please tell us more. Where are you going to do this? What do you hope to do after you get the Certification? I was thinking about this a bit ago and have put it on the back burner at this point.
Sometimes for me some of this stuff seams so easy and then other times one can run in to a wall with an issue.
I am sure if you have been living this stuff that you will do fine

I'm going to a prometric test facility in my town. my employer wants me (or anybody actually) to get mac certified so we can get more Apple business into our hands. i've heard the test used to be easy but took a turn for the difficult as of April 1st when they re-vamped the test for some reason. that has me a bit nervous. i've never taken a technically oriented certification exam either which has me even more nervous since i have no clue what to expect. I am trying to study up until the minute of the exam, but often find myself wondering what the use it at this point. I don't feel very well prepared. this seems to be the general concensus with people that prepare for it as there is no direct text books for this purpose. the tech kit has practice tests apparently, but I didn't notice that it said so on the site for the product and the man i spoke with at Apple who is in charge of the exams never mention it as an avenue to explore (which I find strange since you would think they'd try to sell their $300 kit to as many people as possible!). so that's about it

No specific insight into this test other than some general test-taking tips: - Don't Panic (thanks HHG2G).
- Breathe.
- Read each question twice, and then read it one more time breaking it into sections so you understand the question thoroughly.
- Don't spend too much time on one question. If you're stuck, move on and come back.
If you've been studying for this long, you'll do fine. Good luck and report back on how you did!

thanks, that all sounds like good advice. now to follow through on it. 2.5 hours sounds like a lot on an 80 question test, but i'm sure it'll be not enough when it comes down to it.

well, it's over...and I PASSED!!!!!11
I think cramming with the Apple Tech Kit that just got in my hands yesterday night was what put me over the top. that and this card my wife and son put together for me;
http://homepage.mac.com/tramahound/card.jpg
so, I got an 81% and I'm very freaking happy! I took my time as recommended, but even after going back over every question once more I finished with almost an hour left. I'm of the mind-set that if I initially put an answer down that's the one I wanted for a reason and I most likely should leave it that way. I wanted to find out which ones i got wrong, not just how many I got right or wrong on each section, but the testing center wasn't able to give me that info. Hopefully Apple sends that with the cert?
Now to start preparing for the Desktop exam anybody have any experience with that beast? Or how about with the Apple-led course in Canada?
Thanks for all the encouragement and tips though, they truly helped!!
