I can't tell when it all started, but since then, everytime i restart my Mac (which isn't really often, anyway), the fix_prebind process launches itself (when the Finder desktop appears) and monopolizes the CPU for about 30 seconds, as far as i can tell with Activity Monitor.
My Mac used to accees the Finder really quickly, and this new behaviour irritates me.
Of course, i have done the usual: repair permissions, prebind everything with Cocktail and Tinker Tool. I even ran Disk Warrior to rebuild the disk directory. But the same startup delay happens, each time with the fix_prebind process launchinf itself.
How can i prevent this?
My Mac is a iMac G3 500, 640 MB RAM, OSX 10.3.3
My startup apps are USBoverdrive, Renicer, PTHPasteboard.
