I've been making a DVD out of picture slideshows and video, but the end result is 7.1 gigs, whereas a DVD will only fit 4.2 GIGS. The thing is that I exported all my videos in raw DV format, so its quite big. I'm just wondering what quality settings I should export them now?

The DVDs I'll be burning will be used primarily on TVs, so what is the best export option to use in Quicktime Pro?

Ok, so I should really ask, how many minutes of video can I fit onto one DVD. This could be my problem, because I have abut 115 minutes worth of video total. Sigh... Any advice?

I thought with iDVD 4, you could squeeze 2 hours of video onto one DVD, but I'm not seeing anything that indicates that. It seems the limit is 60 minutes.

Actually, you gotta toggle between 'Best Performance' and 'Best Quality.' One has a max of 60 minutes and the other is 2 hours. Its badly worded, or so we've all concluded around here. Thanks for the help.

It's in the Preferences menu. Would be nice if the background encoding worked for the 2 hours box too, especially with a dual G5.

Ahhh..I saw that preference option but as mentioned, it's really badly worded. From the choices, 2-hours didn't appear to be an option. Thanks for the insight.

You're right, it is poorly worded.
