Hello,
I've got a Ibook Se Firewire (Graphyte).
I've installed OS X Panther but I've got problem with the display:
I don't have a good quality of icons, fonts, on the screen,
what can I do?
The video card is the original one.

Have you got any idea or suggestion?

Thanks
Andrew

Hmmm... Can you elaborate further on what you mean by not having "good quality?" Maybe you can provide a screenshot? You can either hit Command-Shift-3 or use the Grab tool found in your Applications/Utilities folder. The former produces a PDF version of your screenshot, while the latter TIFF.

Launch System Preferences and:

1. In Appearance, select Font Smoothing Style: Medium - Best for Flat Panel
Note, this won't take effect until the next time you log-in.

2. In Displays>Colour, click the Calibrate... button to adjust the coloursync profile to better suit your personal tastes.

Thanks,

I cannot send you a screenshot now (my Mac is not still working in internet!!)
I've talk with a technician and he said me that I've not the right video card!!

In fact I can only select a resolution of 800x600 (thousand and million of colour) and also a resolution of 640x800.
He told me that to run OS X Phanter I need 1024!

Sigh!

Can I ask you two questions?

1) How can I remove OS X Phanter from my ebook??
(I'm new with MAC!!)

2) Is possible to use php 4.3 and Mysql (to create a phpnuke web portal) using the old OS 9.1????

Thanks
Andrea
