Excelent question here...How can i password protect a certain folder and its content?

lets say that i am on my computer....now, i dont wana log out every time i leave to the bathroom, and i dont want to have to enter a password when i try to do any little thing, but is there a way, or a program that you know that will actualy password protect a certain folder and all its contents, meaning that you can not access it withough a password (not my usual login password, a whole new password). thanks.
dont laugh at my stupidity, im new to mac

I got the perfect thing, i just found out how to make disk images! and you can encrypt them!!! im learning lol, thanks dude

Make "sparse images" and they even grow as needed (up to the specified maximum). Don't shrink unfortunately however.

If you don't want your stuff available when you go to the bathroom, go to Keychain Access, View: Show status in menubar. Use that to lock the screen.
The same can also be accomplished with screen savers, hot corners and the lock option.
