Hello everyone, my first guestion, hopefully someone can help.

I have PB 1 Ghz 12", and I have a problem where the processor load jumps very high and stays there eventhough I don't have almost anything running.

I checked from the terminal with ps and noticed that one finder proces took over 90% of processor load, name of proces is
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/MacOS/Finder -psn_0_6291457
if I restart it helps for some time.

This is a known issues with certain jpg files on the desktop that contain previews. Try removing any jpg files from the desktop and log out and then back in.
Search should reveal the older threads about this issue.
