I have a 15" 1.5 Ghz Powerbook. and i can burn dvd+r's and dvd-r's without problem. but why doesn't apple support the burning onto dvd+r media?

i saw this on apple's support site for some bug and notice how dvd+r isn't posted.

Tip: You can burn CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD-R discs depending on your computer's disc drive.
there was a thread in the powerbook forums also mention what types of dvd+r media work and most users have had no problems with different brands.

why isn't it supported if it works fine?
