does anybody know where appletalk can be controlled from the shell?

10.2.8
PBG4 667

appletalk is turned off somewhere, it says its on but it does not work.

Everything else works fine over the network

I have done a clean install on a spare drive and no problems, so i guess I could be right. It is there but not running even though it says it is..

I found the command recommended in this thread

http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...ight=appletalk

to resolve the problem you describe (perhaps after a restart):

___________
i fixed it, by fishing around in the Terminal. Basically I had to manually turn Appletalk on in the Terminal.

Here's the command line if anyone ever needs it:

sudo appletalk -u en0

en0 is ethernet, en1 is airport

do a man appletalk if you want to see all the commands.

works great now!
