Does anyone know if Safari 1.2.2 will resume a download that has been interrupted. My ISP hangs up on me with downloads over about 2 hours. Safari hasn't been *resuming*, just starting over. I know it will resume a download that I *pause*, but I'm talking about *interrupted*.

I'm trying to avoid buying something like Speed Download 2 just to be able to *resume*. If this updated Safari does the job, that would be perfect for my needs.

DSL is not available in my area. The *speed* of my downloads appears to remain the same with or without Speed Download, so I would be buying it for the *resume* feature only

The notes about the 10.3.4 update says that Safari 1.2.2 will resume, but it doesn't specifically say it will resume an *interrupted* download.

I will appreciate any knowledge you can share.

Interesting question. AFAIK, the server has to support resumeable downloads, too.

But there's no need buy Speed Download. The command line program curl can do resumeable downloads.

There is already a thread about this in the appropriate forum, which would be Software.

DeepVacuum is a free download utility that supports resumable downloads (it's a GUI for wget). Try it out.
