Anyone know how to change the name of the application that shows up in the top left menu bar?

let's see...

change the string for CFBundleName in app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/InfoPlist.strings
in order to change the name used in the Application menu.

to change the name shown in the dock, use something like plist editor (or textedit if you are brave) to change the string for CFBundleName in app/Contents/info.plist
