I signed up for a .Mac account but I can't seem to use iChat.

I enter my .Mac account info and password, but then I get the little metal window that say connecting and it times out after a minute.

Any ideas?

Do I need to wait a few hours for it to activate?

I have the 60 day free trial account.

Psst, try the software forum..
Anyway, you dont need .mac at all.. any AIM user name will do. And you can get a free .mac name anyway, without the whole account plus $ etc. Anyway, if its timing out somehow, then I suspect you have a firewall issue.
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.
