I want to install the latest version of streamripper on an older MacG3 running 10.2.8. It does not have any Developer Tools installed.

Previously I successsfully installed an early version of streamripper (v. 1.0.5) by downloading it to a Powerbook running 10.3.3 with Developer Tools, executing configure and make, then copying the executable to the other machine. The executable worked on both machines.

This does not work for later versions of streamripper - the executables do not work. What's the easiest way to get it installed on the other machine?

I'm pretty much of a newbie at installing UNIX software, so keep it simple if possible.

Thanks!

You need to reinstall your Xcode and check that the 10.2.8 sdk is present. Then you need to add the correct options in your makefile so it stays compatible with 10.2 when linking. Check out Camino's make procedure to get some hints.
