Can anyone help with this problem?

I'm using photoshop CS on 10.2.8, G4 1.25ghz MDD, and I have an epson scanner, GT9800 model. Everything has been fine till a couple of days ago, and now when I try to scan using the import function, photoshop quits with no message, and no warning.

I tried reinstalling p.shop, and the scanner driver, I've rebuilt the disk with Disk Warrior, and I have about 40 odd gigs of space on the disk.

The scanner works fine on the machine next to me, but won't even work with it's own software independent of photoshop on my machine. I figure it's got to be something relating to my G4, and not photoshop or the scanner itself.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

thanks

Have you tried deleting the preferences for Photoshop? And have you run the disk utility to correct any invalid permissions?

I've had problems with my Epson Perfection 3170 scanner and the import plug-in with both Photoshop 7 and CS. Photoshop would randomly lock up and I'd have to restart for the scanner to be recognized again.

Using the Epson Scan application on its own has been stable here. Are you saying that that's not working either? What's it doing when you try to run it?
