hmmm I'm not sure why this happened but all my jpg pictures in my pictures directory now have the msn messenger icon for some reason and not the preview icon they had before. They still all open with preview it just looks funny that they all look like msn messenger. Has anyone else had this ever?

update: i just checked again and it seems to have fixed itself so ignore this

pixture.com/macosx.php

Install the finder icon CM and you can at least change the icons after the fact... you might also try setting panther to automatically create thumbnails.

This happens sometimes. It always corrects itself. But if you don't like how quickly it is correcting itself you can always try this (it works for me):

open one of the messed up files with Get Info
click on the icon
press the delete key

This reverts the icon for that item. Closing the Finder window and then going back usually results in all the icons being fixed.
