i just moved my office from 9.2 to 10.3.4 (finally!).
we network filemaker & word.

use aol dialup (ie one-at-a-time...small office)

when a mac is on aol, i cannot access the network from that mac.
it's there as soon as i quit aol.

how can i run both at once?

Have one of your Macs dial-up the AOL connection and share it to all of the others. So this worked on OS 9?

os9 was a lot more finicky, but...i thought this would work in x;
that one mac, online, could also access the network (ie filemaker).
not sure what to try...

Have you tried changing the order of the port configurations with which OS X tries to connect to the network?

System Preferences/Network

Show: Network Port Configurations

Drag Built-in Ethernet to the top (assuming you are using that port when not using AOL).
