if anyone could help on this I'd really appreciate it.
i load help viewer using various apps, like safari, iPhoto, etc.
9 out of 10 times regardless of the app, help viewer loads completly blank. i typ text into the little search box and press enter and nothing happens.
also it often loads and has a the spinning color wheel for quite a while. sometimes the only the open could be mail and i load the help viewer and it takes forever, and then just a blank help screen.
when i press home on the help viewer nothing happens either.
any tips?

Those are good FAQs. I also find Help viewer to be both a bit simplistic sometimes (sometimes it is great) and VERY SLOW. Since there is no complete manual, i find myself going there quite often.
I am on a powerbook that currently has a dial-up internet connection. I assumed that the help viewer was accessing files on my HD, but those faqs make it sound like it tries to go online for some answers. It does not say that it is trying to conect to the internet-it just takes its time giving me an answer! UGH

ive seen that page before and its pretty nice, but my problem isn't listed.
my help viewer when im in the finder just loads a BLANK help page. even if i click the home icon, it stays blank.
other apps work fine, like safari, just the general mac os x help loads as a blank page.

Click the magnifying glass in the search field. Select "Search Mac Help." Then you should be able to search.
Also, select an application from the "Library" menu.
