Hello all. First post here and new to OS X. I'm trying to make a bootable install dvd from one of my G4's to install the exact same disk image on a couple other G4's. What is the easiest method to accomplish this? I read up on Carbon Copy Clone but I'm not 100% sure that it will do that. Also, would it be easier to just install a new version of OS X (they have 9 on there now) and then use one of these tools to just copy everything on top of the drive? Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the MacNN Forums!

CCC and/or another tool from the same developer called "NetRestore" can accomplish your needs just fine. I personally prefer to make a disk image of my drive and then restore that image onto other machines...this would be done using NetRestore very easily.

NetRestore information...

No problem, it's very straight-forward; however, if you have any questions (and the built-in "Help" can't solve it), let me know and we'll go from there...

Good Luck!
