Hi! I'll be switching from a PC to a Mac in about a month. My Windows notebook computer has just died, but I had everything backed up on CD. I'll be putting all of my files on my new Mac, but some of them were hidden files on Windows. How will OS X handle these files? Anyone know? Thanks!

Files that start with a dot. And files with the invisible flag set. And then there's the hidden file ".hidden" which lists files at the root of the hard disk that should be hidden but don't start with a dot.
