With Spotlight and metadata around the corner, are iTunes-like Open dialog boxes close too?

Seems to me like this would make sense...apps would be able to sort through file extensions they recognize and on top of that filter through keywords. This would bring a global iTunes-like sorting capabilities to every app out there.

I'd love to think I'd be able to just shove all my Photoshop documents into one folder, all my Word documents into another (or the same folder), all my emulator ROMs into another (or again, the same folder), and get easy filtering for free in current apps.

If you wanted to, you could shove every document file into the Documents folder and find the file you want in an instant with any app.
