Hello;
I have a Powerbook G4 400Mhz (Mercury) with 384mb Ram. My internal CDR is damaged so I need to do this from an external FireWire CDR or DVDRW Drive.
So when I boot using the Option key on the powerbook, I pick the external drive and load the CD of OSX, at first it loads a grey screen, with the apple logo on the back, then it switches to a color blue screen and that is the last it does.
I know that on that blue colored screen, it is supposed to load the menu's of the instalation, but for some reason it just doesn't load up anything and my pb just sits there doing nothing.
I know its not the external drive ecause when boot in os9, it shows me the cd with osx inside. but i cannot use it from there to boot. Apparently i cannot use it from there...
This has become in a rather big pain in the ass installation. Please help me understand how to do this or if I have to send this mac to repairs and put a new cd on it. Or if I can install this...
Thanks in advanced;
Ugly
