If I purchased a new PowerMac today (July 1), will I get a free Tiger upgrade?

what, you're serious? it's at most a year away. you'd be better off waiting to buy a new mac about a week after tiger is released.

up-to-date programs are usually from the day the OS is released to 30 days after.

So, if Tiger is released on 7/1 you are covered.

But, as it is not gonna happen for as much as 14 months, I'd say it ain't gonna happen.
