Hello all,
I have searched but cannot come up with similar discussion. I am quite new to Mac world so please bear with me if my question is too simple.

I used to have the bluetooth icon appears whenever I insert a bluetooth dongle to my PM2.0, and it goes whenever I unplug it.

However, since last week the icon is not coming back out when I plug in the dongle. I have checked that bluetooth is on and signal is strong. But the icon is not there on the menu bar anymore.

Pls help me to re-discover this little icon. Thanks for your help.

Well there's two ways to do this, the first way is to open the application called "System Preferences". You can do this by going to the Apple Menu in the upper left hand corner and choosing "System Preferences...". (You have to have your dongle inserted at this point), then choose the Bluetooth System Preference Pane. In that pane, make sure you are on the Settings Tab and then check the box that says "Show Bluetooth Status in Menu Bar"

The second way of doing it is to navigate through the folders in your Finder is this manner:

Computer
System
Library
CoreServices
MenuExtras

And then double click on "Bluetooth.menu". Hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply. The funny thing is, in the system preference/bluetooth section, I already checked "show bluetooth status..." box, but it still doesn't show...strange.
