okay, this isn't so urgent.
but in osx (10.3.4), i've never figured out how to delete folders in the "desktop and screen saver" pref. pane.

i "chose" some folders there, but later moved the pictures themselves.

can't drag the empty folders out of the window; no options in "edit" to delete.

anyone know how to get rid of these folders??

Just delete:

com.apple.desktop.plist

On a side note, Apple should make this more clear with an "Edit" or delete option...

I may not be understanding the question correctly, but here is how you remove either whole folders, or particular desktop images from the System Pref "Desktop & Screen Saver":

Go to Hard Drive/ Library/ Desktop Pictures.

There you will find every folder and image that shows up in the Desktop & Screen Saver System Pref. I have completely deleted whole folders from there, and added many new desktop images (I have a dual LCD monitor setup, so I'm always looking for new dual monitor images).
