sourceforge downloads won't work

I've been having the oddest problem for the past few weeks, and I really can't figure it out. Sourceforge project pages themselves work fine, in fact the entire site works exactly like it should. Except for downloads, that is. A link like this:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/w...1.dmg?download

will load a blank page with the title "DesktopManager-.0.5.2-rc1.dmg 1x1 pixels". I don't know where the 1x1 pixel thing comes from, or why, but I do know that it happens in every browser (Safari, Firefox, IE, OmniWeb). I've tried turning off all of my software firewalls and that didn't help, and I know it's not my router because another computer also in my LAN can download from Sourceforge just fine.

It's really pretty bizarre, and I just don't know where to look next to try to fix it. I'm getting pretty tired of downloading Adium once a week on the other computer and then transferring it to my primary one.

Thanks for any help in advance.

It almost looks like some ad-blocking software is screwing things up. Some custom hosts files redirect all trafic from ad sites (or suspected ad sites) to localhost, replacing the requested document with a 1x1 transparent GIF image.

Are you using a custom hosts file or a proxy of any kind?

Woo, found it. In NetBarrier, under Privacy > Banner, I had ad blocking enabled. Odd, though - none of the ad strings blocked are in the sourceforge download URLs. I guess I'm going to have to weed out the culprit.

Thanks!
