Laptop users might well have tried the excellent sidetrack which gives you more flexibility in how your trackpad is used - i.e. zones where you can scroll the mouse etc. However, you might have missed on one potential way it can be used. You can make tapping on the trackpad work as a right click, and your normal button as the left click:

This gives you support for right click without having to wait for apple to add a second button! Genus! Apple needs to put this into tiger, since it doesn't interfere with users learning how to click and use the mouse, yet lets power users right click without having to hold a button down. A really clever way for apple to support right clicking without changing their hardware. Now if they could only get it to work for single button mice...

Sidetrack is the best - corner clicks also work great as expose buttons, or whatever.

Sidetrack should be incorporated into Tiger - period.
