My girlfriend's family just bought a Mac in Poland, it came with a Polish keyboard, but an English version of the OS. They can get by in English, but does anybody know how to make the OS Polish?
Thanks for the info... never dealt with the language stuff before.

There's no Polish localization included with OS X. You might find something useful at this site:

There doesn't seem to be a Polish localisation. Unfortunately, and rationally, for smaller languages, the responsibility for localisation seems to lie with independent agencies. For example, there are Russian, Hungarian and Turkish localisations that have been made by organisations outside of Apple.
If you are interested, you might want to join the discussion at:

I have no idea about the site recommended to you at:

Thanks for the info guys. Seems pretty strange that they don't offer localizations for russia and poland... maybe they are not huge markets... but does it really cost that much to do?

After looking at the Apple Poland web site http://www.apple.com.pl/pl/ it sure looks like there is a localized version of OS X and the iApps. Unless someone went to the trouble to do some PhotoShop work on all the text.

To translate all the text in the opearting system and all their apps and update every single time anything is updated?

The text in the OS does not change that much version to version right? It's not like they have to start from scratch every-time

Yeah I noticed that, but I can't find anything else about it. I was hoping some polish person on here would know what the deal was. Nothing seems to turn up in my searches.
Thanks for looking into it really nice of you guys.
