Hi guys,

I have been a die hard user since 10.0, I am happy to see OS X improved a lot recently.

I have encounter a bug since 10.0, where the finder view options can't "remember" the Applications Folder and other system folders after restart....

I need a solution for it.

I have tried following:
delete .DS_Store
repair permission

I hope to set it back like it before.
thanks.

Actually, I've been having the same trouble. No matter how I change the view options around on the Applications folder it will nearly always default back to another state, rather than the one I set it to, and it's even been doing it after a clean reinstall of the OS that I did relatively recently, so it's not just you.

That doesn't help much, but I just wanted to let you know that you probably didn't do anything wrong.

Make sure that the DS Store file for both your hard drive and applications folder are set to Read & Write under the Ownership & Permissions category in the Get Info window. That worked for me.

Did you try repairing permissions with Disk Utility while booted with OS X install cd?
