I migrated my user folder (along with a few other needed folders) from my PowerBook to a desktop Mac that had a fresh Panther install. I still have menu bar icons for Bluetooth, Airport, and battery even though those options aren't in system prefs. I tried searching for various prefs and cache files, but haven't found how to get rid of them yet. Can anyone help? TIA

Of course, this only works with actual Menu Extras. Since Apple specifically blocks third-party menu extras, the only way third parties can put icons up there is to use the NSStatusItem API, and a menu added in such a way can't be dragged off. You have to figure out some other way to quit the app.
If you are unhappy with this state of affairs, let Apple know: http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/

True, you can't f.i. move or pull away Salling Clicker from the menu bar, neither can you move Airport, Bluetooth, Volume, etc before Salling Clicker. Salling Clicker seems to have the left most place among them.
Mac OS X Help isn't very helpfull on this either, though if you search deeply, you can find that you have to use the Command - click for moving and puling.
