Why do I see a location listed twice in the Save As dialog box under Recent Places? For instance, there are 2 "Desktop," and 2 other particular folders of the same name. This occurs in apps such as Quark 6 and PShop 7. It seems like it doesn't matter which duplicate I choose, but this seems rather fncked up to me.

Although I'm seeing this with my graphics apps, I feel it's an OSX bug more than an application bug so I've posted it in this forum.

Anyone else experience this?

I believe you'll need to delete the .GlobalPreferences.plist file in order to clear out that cache...

~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist

Thanks Gorickey, but a search for "GlobalPreferences" yields nothing. Odd. Is that it for sure or is there another suggestion, maybe just "preferences.plist" in the SystemConfiguration folder?

It's invisible. Make sure you are searching "visible and invisible" items in the Finder...
