my wishlist:

+ safari integrated with finder to provide seamless browsing of files & internet
+ apple menu launchable by apple key
+ windows minimizable to the menubar
+ menu options (file, edit, etc) taken out of the menubar and put into each window, below the title bar
+ consistent interface based on "hard plastic" look of tiger
+ favorite and recently used apps available in the apple menu
+ two button mouse standard with universal contextual menus
+ task oriented finder
+ video player integrated into iTunes (called McMedia maybe?)
+ trash available on desktop
+ more, better, and current apps
+ "eyeball" feature in iChat, like AIM
+ responsive resizing

what's on YOUR wishlist?

Wow, none of those are ever going to happen, aside from the UI refresh in Tiger and more responsive window resizing (due to Quartz 2D Extreme in Tiger). And frankly, some of those are quite useless.

This was meant to be funny right? Asking for Mac OS X to be turned into Windows basically?

none of the above.

Except the hard plastic and two button mouse.

(by the way recently used apps are available in the apple menu)

Microsoft did that with IE and Windows and you see where that got them. A virus paradise.

I don't exactly want the mac operating system to die, I wouldn't take it that far. It just needs some improvement.

I also thought that was part of the reason they got in trouble as well, because their internet browser was too integrated with the rest of the OS.

The ONLY functionality that I'd like to have in Finder that's even remotely like a browser is the ability to hit the Command+Left Arrow or Right Arrow to go to the previous or next window. Basically, the equivalent of me going to the toolbar and clicking the arrows. Command+Up Arrow or Down Arrow already navigates the hierarchy, and I think the side arrows should navigate like the back and forward buttons. Other than that, I can't think of any other functionality I'd like to steal from a web browser, but then again, Apple does have a knack for making me realize that there is something worth taking from different places, and I just wasn't creative enough to see it.
