Hey everyone. Originally I was using the XFree86 X11 server on my PB 17", but then I deleted it and installed Apple's X11.
I can run my X11 apps fine (Mindless Automaton, XPilot etc), but startx returns this message from the X11 terminal
Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.
OsVendorFatalError
AbortDDX
Quitting XDarwin...
Any ideas?

Have you tried deleting /tmp/.X0-lock as suggested in the error message?

Thanks for responding!

Why would you run startx from the X11 terminal? The X11 terminal is an X11 app. Therefore, there is no need to run startx.
