my finder windows don't seem to refresh to show to current size as I move things around. I have to relaunch Finder to get it to do it. Any one else notice this?
thanks

I believe you have to close the window and re-open it (or go to another folder) for it to change.

The finder caches it. try quitting the finder, i'm not sure if closing the window works.

yeah, annoying, i know. tinkertool can add a quit option to the finder (it's just a plist edit).

I have noticed this, probably back as far as 10.2.8, but it is definitely still here with 10.3.4 on both a G4 tower and an iBook G4. The only way I have found to get the finder to recalculate sizes is to quit it. I used Tinkertool to install the finder quit item, and then a quick Command Q key combo will do it. What a pain though, can we expect Apple to fix this in Tiger or do we have to wait for Tabby?

Weird this should just come up, as it was mentioned in the GUI forum today in relation to this program: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24103

Give that a go, it might work.

This could also work: http://www.brockerhoff.net/nudge/
