Is there any way that I can take an existing drive and shrink it into two partitions?
(Something like what Partition Magic does on the PC?)
- iMac 3.2Ghz 1TB - MacBook Pro 15" Core i7 2.3Ghz / 256SSD (Work laptop)
- PowerMac G5 - Dual 2.0 Ghz, 3GB, Soundsticks!,
- Lenovo Thinkpad T510 (also a work laptop), Win 7 Enterprise, 8GB, 320GB HDD

Keep in mind that any such utility has the potential to screw up EVERYTHING on your HD, so it would be wise to do a full backup first. And if you're going to do a full backup, then you may as well just partition with disk utility (erasing your HD) and restore to one of the partitions from your backup.

It would take about the same amount of time, anyway.
