I've been changing between the two mentioned shells, and concluded that there's not really much differences.

Am I wrong?

If so, plz list the differences.

tcsh is compatible with csh

especially ones with political tripe in them.

They are very different from a syntactic point of view. Feature-wise they are likely compatible. For an interactive shell, either will suit your needs.

For those wishing to do shell programming, bash is the way to go. If nothing else, it will run Bourne shell scripts. As for tcsh and other c-shells, read:

heh, that's a pretty funny read.

But, it doesn't change the fact that there are hordes of Enterprise apps that use csh. So, if you're in that boat, tcsh is your friend.

The syntax has some differences, I agree with you, but the simple commands like cd and ls is the same.

I read the unix-faq, some usefull information there.

The use of Bash is more widespread, since Linux uses it.

It's all about zsh. These guys have tab-completion down to an art. Heck, it's so good that I basically just hit tab at the command line.
